If melted Candy Melts are too thick for what you are making, you can add a small amount of vegetable oil or melted solid vegetable shortening to thin the mixture.
I live in the uk and can't get vegetable shortening what else can I use to thin the consistency? My candy melts are not melting enough to dip & I do not have CRISCO. Coconut oil melts dramatically at room temperature and besides some.
My cookbook said to add vegetable oil or melted butter to the candy. The coating is a bit thin - for someone who is dead, it makes the skin look.
